Pneumatic guide clamp is a high-performance functional component used in conjunction with linear guide, which has the functions of fixing the worktable, precision positioning, preventing vibration and improving rigidity. Its installation method is as follows:
(1)The clamping element is installed after the linear rail and linear block have been mounted. It is recommended that the clamp be mounted on the same plane between the two blocks,if there is no linear block, ensure that the parallelism of the clamp mounting surfaces is equal to or less than 0.01mm.
(2)Install the unclamped clamping element on the linear rail, and make sure that the clamps can be moved without contact between the clamping mechanism and the rail.
(3)Hand-tighten the hexagonal screws for mounting the clamp, and temporarily preload the clamping element onto the slide table.
(4)Carry out clamping action on the linear guide, repeat clamping and unclamping for more than 10 times, slide twice in the unclamped state, then slightly pre-tighten the mounting screws, and then lock the clamping element, repeat 10 times to let the linear guide clamp automatically align with the center.
(5)After adjusting clearance, tighten the bolts at a specified torque using a torque wrench when the clamping element is clamped on the linear rail.
(6)Let the clamp be in the released state, measure the clearance between the two sides of the brake block and the guide rail surface, confirm that in the whole stroke, the two sides of the brake block and the guide rail unilateral clearance is maintained at 0.02mm to 0.04mm, and the two sides of the gap symmetry is less than 0.02mm, if it is not reached, then re-adjustment.
(7)Finally,check whether there is grease on both sides of the adjusting bolts,if there is no grease,it is necessary to apply grease to prevent rust, and at the same time, check whether there is leakage on the connecting part of the air pipe.
